Ingredients:
*1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
*1 jar pasta sauce (whatever flavor you like)
*1 can tomatoes with Italian seasonings, with juices
*1 tsp or garlic powder
*1 package refrigerated cheese tortellini (9 oz)
*1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
1.) Mix beef, pasta sauce, tomatoes, and garlic powder into crock pot.
2.) Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
3.) Add torellini and cover with cheese. Cook on low another 15-20 mins or until pasta is cooked through.
Side Note:
1.) My husband really enjoyed this. If I were to make it again, I would double the recipe (except the meat). It wasn't very "saucey"--it more "coated" the torellini. Also, there wasn't enough tortellini to feed my family of 3. (We LOVE Italian food AND leftovers!)
2.) Using the crock pot is a great way to experiment in making any kind of pasta sauce. The spices blend together nicely! Start with a jar or two of your favorite sauce and add whatever you'd like: ground beef (cooked), italian sausage (cooked), fresh garlic, onions, green peppers, mushrooms! Cook on low for 6-7 hours. You could also do it on your stove top!
